Parlo compared with other dictation apps
Parlo compares itself openly with other dictation apps: what each one costs, which platforms it runs on, and how it handles your voice data. Every comparison here checks its facts against the competitor's own site and states clearly where Parlo does more or less.
Each comparison below checks its facts against the competitor's own home, pricing, and privacy pages on the same day. It states plainly where a fact was not published anywhere we could find. Parlo's own facts come from the app itself: what runs on-device, what is free during the beta, and what still needs an iCloud sign-in to sync.
Full comparisons
Five comparisons cover the apps people ask about most: Wispr Flow, superwhisper, Spokenly, Apple's built-in dictation, and Monologue by Every. Each page has a feature table, what the other app does better, what Parlo does better, and notes on switching.
Shorter alternative pages
Three shorter pages answer "what is a private alternative to X" directly, for Wispr Flow, superwhisper, and Monologue. Each has a summary table and a link to the full comparison.
What Parlo's own row means
Every table on these pages describes Parlo the same way. It runs on iPhone as a keyboard extension and on Mac as a menu-bar app. It transcribes and cleans up speech on-device, it is free for the whole public beta, and it needs no account. If a competitor's site did not state a fact, the comparison says "not stated" instead of guessing. Every competitor fact carries the day it was checked.
