02 / Why private

Private by design,
not by promise.

Most dictation tools stream your voice to a server. Parlo doesn't: transcription and cleanup run on your iPhone or Mac using Apple's on device SpeechAnalyzer, and your speech isn't sent to a server.

  • Processed on your deviceYour voice is transcribed locally. The first run may download Apple's on device model.
  • Your words, just tidierCleanup removes filler and false starts while keeping what you actually said.
  • Private history, synced when you say soHistory is stored encrypted and syncs between iPhone and Mac end-to-end encrypted through your iCloud, on by default. Turn it off in Settings.
