Parlo public beta for iPhone and Mac
Parlo is a private, on-device dictation keyboard for iPhone and a menu-bar dictation app for Mac, now in public beta. Join by installing the iPhone app through TestFlight or the Mac app from the notarized download on this page. Both installs are free during the beta. Transcription and cleanup run on-device, and feedback goes straight to the team by email.
What you get
Parlo is an iOS 26 voice dictation keyboard with a companion app, and a macOS 26 menu-bar app. The current iPhone beta is build 55 on TestFlight. The current Mac beta is build 54 as a download. The releases page lists every build. Both installs are free during the beta. Processing runs on-device, using Apple's on-device speech engine for transcription and an on-device language model for cleanup.
Install on iPhone
- Install Parlo from the public TestFlight link.
- Open Settings, then General, then Keyboard, then Keyboards.
- Tap Add New Keyboard and choose Parlo.
- Tap Parlo in the Keyboards list.
- Turn on Allow Full Access.
Full Access lets the keyboard and the app share your dictated text through a shared container. Parlo needs it to hand text back to the keyboard. The keyboard cannot access your microphone. Recording and transcription happen in the app. Tap the mic in the keyboard, and the app opens and records. Swipe back to the app you were using, and the keyboard inserts the text.
Install on Mac
Download Parlo for Mac. On first launch, grant microphone access so Parlo can record, and grant Accessibility access so Parlo can insert text into the app you were using. Parlo for Mac lives in the menu bar. Hold Option, speak, and release to dictate. Parlo for Mac tells you when a new build is out. Download it again from this page. Automatic updates need beta enrollment through /mac.
What to expect
Parlo is a beta. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech engine, and cleanup runs on-device with an on-device language model. The first run may need a one-time download of Apple's on-device speech model, which needs a connection once. History sync is end-to-end encrypted through your private iCloud and on by default. Turn it off in Settings, or do not sign in with Apple.

Yes. Both the iPhone app and the Mac app are free while Parlo is in public beta. There is no payment step and no Parlo account needed to install either one.
What does beta mean for Parlo?
Beta means Parlo is still being tested. Features change between builds, and you may see rough edges. Feedback from testers shapes what ships next.
Does Parlo need an account?
No Parlo account is required to install or use Parlo. TestFlight needs an Apple Account for the iPhone install. History sync is end-to-end encrypted through your private iCloud and on by default. Turn it off in Settings, or do not sign in with Apple.
What is rough right now?
Parlo is English-first, and as a beta it has rough edges. The keyboard's history panel has no search. Dictionary editing is on iPhone only.
How do I send feedback?
Reply to beta@parlokey.com with what happened, what you expected, and your device and OS version if you have it. The team reads every reply, and it shapes the next build.
How do updates arrive?
